Artwork Guide

File Formats

We can accept files in the following formats:

JPG, GIF, PNG, PDF, AI (Illustrator CS2 or below), or EPS. Please zip AI or EPS files if you’re uploading through the order form.

Please note that if sending a JPG or GIF, then the better the resolution will make it easier for us to convert your artwork into an accurate reproduction, suitable for your custom floor mat.

If you are unsure of anything then feel free to contact us and we’ll provide you with help and advice.

Small Text

Although our printed floor mats have excellent definition and visual clarity, there are obviously limits to the amount of detail that can be printed due to the nature of the product. This is because the ink is printed into nylon carpet fabric and photographic quality is not possible to be produced on these types of mats . But we think you will be amazed at just how much detail can be printed.

If you have a logo that contains lots of text and other very small detail then it will probably be more suitable to be placed on a larger size mat to accommodate the extra detail. But if this is not an option then there are other solutions, such as simplifying your design or splitting text onto several lines.

Colour Selection

You can choose up to 14 colours from a palette of 53 colours.

We usually ask you to choose the background colour and then we use our own judgement to match the rest of the colours from your artwork to the nearest colours in our swatch. This seems to work out fine in most cases.

Please note that the colours that appear in the PDF visual of your mat which we send to you may not necessarily match 100% the colours in your finished mat. This is because all monitors display colours differently so colours will vary slightly. You can send us your colour codes if you know them, either CMYK or Pantone codes and we’ll try to match as near as possible from our range of colours.

Using White

We would suggest that you don’t use white as part of your logo mat design as it will discolour very easily as so is not very practical. We recommend using our colour ref 394 which is an off white/ivory colour.
